Algebra 2 with Mrs. Slobig 2012- 2013 Notebook 5% Collected on the average of 2 times per semester. Homework 20% Collected every class meeting. You can receive 5 points per assignment, only 3 points for homework turned in after the due date. To gain full credit, you must show work. Quizzes And Tests 75% There will be approximately 6 tests in the semester. Tests will Final Exam cover any and/or all material covered in the book and in lectures. Quarterly tests will cover Math Standards from the CST tests at the end of each quarter. Your Math Notebook 2012-2013 All students are required to keep a math notebook. The notebook will contain all of your work for the entire semester and will help keep you organized. It should be kept neat, utilize loose leaf paper, and must contain these three sections in this specific order: Section 1 Warm ups. Warm ups are done daily and must be numbered and dated. They must be in order. Section 2 Notes. Notes are taken daily. They must be in order. If you are absent, you must get the notes from the white binder on my desk. Section 3 Homework. Your homework is collected every day at the beginning of class. Once corrected, put in order in this section of your notebook. You must have a filled in green assignment sheet. Each section must begin with a divider. The notebook must be a 3-ring binder. It may be with other subjects. I collect them and grade them on the same day, so you will get it back for your other classes. ALL LETTER GRADES WILL BE BASED ON THIS SCALE

Tardies (Being out of your seat after the bell rings) Refer to student handbook. B. Absence/Truancy Please refer to the student handbook. C. Water, locker, phone call, friends or family pet in trouble breaks will be closely monitored. Use your breaks wisely Please note that if for some reason You are ill or have a 504 plan which requires you to be out of the room at times, accommodations will be made. J D. Food >>>School policy is no food in the classroom. Bottled water is allowed but is subject to random checks at any time. No Cans or Glass Bottles. E. Your take-home math book is to be protected at ALL times. Replacement cost for excessive wear can be up to 65$. F. You must bring 8 1/2x11 loose-leaf notebook paper and a pen with you to class. You should bring extra paper and pencils in case you need them. Please, no spiral bound paper! G. Any MP3 players, cell phones, written notes, books, skateboards, magazines, food, etc. that does not have my prior permission to be in my class becomes my property for 24 hours to be used at my discretion. TURN OFF ELECTRONIC DEVICES upon entering the classroom and there will be no problems. H. Calculator use is a privilege and not a right. I encourage proper and reasonable use of technology, but if you are caught playing games on the calculator in class without permission you may forfeit the privilege to use calculators on quizzes and tests. I. ANY TEST OR QUIZ THAT WOULD BE MISSED PARTLY OR COMPLETELY DUE TO VACATION, MEDICAL OR DENTAL APPOINTMENT, OR EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITY NEEDS TO BE TAKEN BEFORE THE ACTIVITY OCCURS. SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE ARRANGED between STUDENT AND TEACHER AS LONG AS THE STUDENT IS RESPONSIBLE IN NOTIFYING THE TEACHER 48 HOURS PRIOR WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
