• The Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District has a very robust Regional Occupation Program that includes a culinary class affectionally called Restaurant. The students in our Restaurant class learn the ins and outs of working in and running a commercial kitchen. They all earn their SafeServe certificates and are taught restaurant and cooking basics. As part of this course, our students prepare, or assit in preparing, everything served in our cafeteria and staff only Pirate's Galley. Our focus starting in the 2017/2018 school year is to build up our Pirate's Galley so the students can get more practice preparing for and serving customers.
