The Mission of the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District to provide our community with a world class food service program that encourages our students to make healthy choices and become productive contributing citizens.



The Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District strives to provide nutritious, appetizing meals to children. 


Both the National School Lunch Program and National Breakfast Program are administered by the USDA and are currently in the limelight as our nation is focusing on reducing diet related diseases – especially in children. School Meals are back & better than ever.  This year brings even more fresh fruits & vegetables, more items with whole grains & an increasing amount of items made by us, from scratch, to help your child learn to the best of the ability & live a healthy life.

  • A variety of sandwiches in addition to hot entree choices
Monthly menus are carefully designed to provide maximum nutritional value, while appealing to our customers and maintaining a financially self-supporting operation.  These continue to evolve along with nutritional science, and are currently designed to meet 1/3rd of the recommended daily allowance for protein, calcium, iron, Vitamin A and Vitamin C, with restricted amounts of fat and saturated fat.
