We are entering a truly new era in education in the State of California. One of the significant pieces of this change is a significant shift to more local control in how funds are spent in school districts. The signature component of this is the new-for-2014-2015 Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). How is this different? We have both a mandate and a desire to seek input about how we run our school from as many of our stakeholders as possible. We are currently engaged in a process to solicit input from students, staff and the community about how we allocate out funds to run our school. The LCAP is a three-year plan that will undergo annual revisions.
