Mission
Statement
The
Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District, in partnership
with parents and community, will provide each student the opportunity
to complete four full years of meaningful, appropriate education
to acquire skills needed to succeed, not just survive, in society.
We are committed to providing this learning in a safe, clean,
and pleasant environment.
In
order to meet this goal, we will endeavor to:
- Provide
staff, students, parent, and community members an opportunity
to participate in the education process.
- Foster
an environment for shared decision-making
- Maintain
meaningful communication with staff, students, parents,
and community members.
- Encourage
the development of a positive attitude in students and staff
toward themselves and an appreciation for a diverse society.
- Help
develop an appreciation of the need for life-long learning.
- Continue
to re-evaluate teaching strategies and curriculum to meet
the changing needs of students.
